We're back after a week "off" in Montana. While I was away, nearly every book I had on hold at the library became available, so today's trip was rather successful. One book we brought home was
In the Night Kitchen by
Maurice Sendak. I haven't read this book in years and I forgot how wonderful all of the illustrations are. It also made me recall some controversy surrounding the nudity in the book and how many libraries don't carry it because it depicts a naked three-year-old. Absolute silliness, if you ask me. The book is still great after nearly 40 years. And that's that.
